READY RUNS LOCALLY

About the QR Code Generator

Generates QR codes with a proper form for each content type, so the encoding comes out right, and reads the codes in images or from your camera, in your browser. Pick the type, fill the form, download PNG or SVG; or switch to Read and show it a code.

Every Setting

Mode
Create makes a code. Read finds the code in an image or in front of your camera and shows what it holds.
Type
Link, Wi-Fi, email, phone, SMS or contact card. Each type has its own wire format with its own escaping rules; the forms handle that, which is what keeps a password with a semicolon in it from producing a code that scans into garbage.
Error Level
How much of the code can be damaged or covered and still scan: L 7% through H 30%. Higher levels make denser codes; M is the everyday choice.
Colors
Foreground and background, plus a transparent background for print layouts. Keep the contrast strong or scanners struggle.
Quiet Zone
The blank border scanners need to find the code. Four modules is the standard.
Size
Exact pixel output at 512, 1024 or 2048. SVG stays crisp at any size.
Logo
Drops your mark in the center and raises error correction to cover what it hides.
Choose Image, Paste Image, and Use Camera
Read only. Choose a photo or screenshot, paste one you copied, or drop it on the page. Use Camera scans live and updates as soon as it sees a new code; Stop Camera turns it off.
Result
What the code holds, laid out by type: a link with an Open Link button, a Wi-Fi network with its password, a contact card’s fields, an email, a phone number, or a text. Links never open on their own; read the address before you click. Edit in Create loads the content into Create so you can restyle or change it.

Common Questions

Do these codes expire?
No. The content is baked into the pattern; it works as long as what it points at works.
PNG or vector?
PNG for screens and most documents; the vector file for print at any size.
How do I read a QR code from a screenshot?
Switch to Read, then paste the screenshot or choose the file. The link or text shows on the right, ready to copy or open.
