Every guide here comes from our own store submissions and our own rejections, not from summarising other people's blog posts. Here is who writes them and how they are kept current.
Who writes this
I build and ship the apps at Disco Volante Labs, a small independent software studio. That means I also do the store submissions, collect the rejections, and re-look-up the same specifications every release. Mockstack came out of that, and so did every guide on this site.
The guides are not researched from other blog posts. They come from submissions we have made, rejections we have received, and specs verified against the live App Store Connect and Play Console rather than a summary of them.
Why the guides get updated
Store requirements change with hardware. Apple collapsed its required screenshot sizes to two in April 2025, and the same pattern will repeat when the next display class ships. Guides that are not maintained quietly become wrong, which is worse than not existing, so each one carries the date its specs were last checked.
