Everything an App Store or Play listing needs, at the exact size each slot demands.

What a store listing actually needs

Apple and Google both reject listings for asset problems that have nothing to do with the app. A screenshot at the wrong pixel size, an icon with an alpha channel, a feature graphic with text inside the crop zone. The tools here exist to remove that whole category of rejection before you submit.

The sizes are the part people get wrong most often, because they change. Apple accepts a 6.9 inch screenshot and scales it down, but only if the source is exactly 1290 by 2796. Google wants a 1024 by 500 feature graphic with the important content away from the edges. Steam and the Chrome Web Store each want their own set again.

Start with the Screenshot Editor if you are making the marketing shots, the Icon Resizer if you have a 1024 icon and need every derived size, and the Screenshot Checker if you already have files and want to know which store slots accept them.

Common questions

What screenshot sizes does the App Store require in 2026?

One 6.9 inch set at 1290 by 2796 covers every current iPhone, because Apple scales it down for smaller classes. iPad listings need a 13 inch set at 2064 by 2752. The full table is in the App Store screenshot sizes guide.

Can I upload one screenshot size and let the store resize it?

Apple scales a 6.9 inch screenshot down to the smaller iPhone classes, so one set is usually enough. Google Play does not scale between phone and tablet, so those need separate uploads.

Why was my app icon rejected?

The most common cause is an alpha channel or rounded corners baked into the file. Both stores want a square, fully opaque image and apply the mask themselves.
